Mortuary attendants seize corpse at graveside over N10k undertaker fees

The sum of ten thousand Naira, owed an undertaker at the  Tema General Hospital, who had dressed a
dead man for burial led to a scene at the Tema Community Nine Cemetery, Ghana, on Saturday, where two mortuary attendants aggressively removed the dead body from its coffin.
The two mortuary men had appeared at the cemetery, just as the coffin was about to be put into the grave, and demanded the family of the dead man pay the sum of GHc 150 owed an undertaker, who had dressed the body at the hospital prior to the burial.
Shocked by the actions of the men, the sympathizers and family members of the deceased stood helplessly, as they looked on while the body was removed from the coffin by the two angry mortuary men and there after taken away over GHc 150.
