These 8 men are richer than 3.6 billion people combined

Entrepreneur Bill Gates founded the world's largest software business, Microsoft, with Paul Allen, and subsequently became one of the richest men in the world.


Eight men now control as much wealth as the world's poorest 3.6 billion people, according to a new report from Oxfam Internationa

 The men -- Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Carlos Slim, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Amancio Ortega, Larry Ellison and Michael Bloomberg -- are collectively worth $426 billion, the anti-poverty group said on Sunday.

 Known as the "Oracle of Omaha," Warren Buffett is an investment guru and one of the richest and most respected businessmen in the world.

He derived his fortune from his extensive holdings in a considerable number of Mexican companies through his conglomerate, Grupo Carso. As of 31 July 2016 he was #7 on Forbes list of billionaires, with a net worth estimated at US$50 billion.

He is the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Amazon.com, which became the world's largest online shopping retailer. The company began as an Internet merchant of books and expanded to a wide variety of products and services, most recently video streaming and audio streaming. Amazon.com is currently the world's largest Internet sales website on the World Wide Web.
Bezos' other diversified business interests include aerospace and newspapers. He is the founder and manufacturer of Blue Origin (founded in 2000) with test flights to space beginning in 2015, and plans for commercial suborbital human spaceflight beginning in 2018.[In 2013, Bezos purchased The Washington Post newspaper. A number of other business investments are managed through Bezos Expeditions.
He is currently the 2nd richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of US$70.70 billion as of January 2017.

In 2014, he was listed by Forbes magazine as the third-wealthiest person in America and as the fifth-wealthiest person in the world, with a fortune of US$56.2 billion.
